Over the past two weeks, our crew packed up and headed south to Texas to prepare for Starship Flight 11 coverage. One team member even made the jump from across the pond to join the effort. Setting up for a Starbase launch is no small task as Dan on our crew likes to say, “it takes a village.”
Every Starship Flight brings long days, late nights, and plenty of sand in strange places but also moments that remind us why we do this. Watching a Starship take flight never loses its spark.
Behind the scenes, our store team ships new patch merch to Starbase ahead of each launch, so the field crew can rep the latest designs while setting up. If you’re around the dunes before flight, keep an eye out you might spot some familiar faces (and gear)and maybe some yet to be released.
We’ve got plenty of behind-the-scenes photos coming your way from this flight, but here’s an early look. In these shots, you’ll catch our team in the dunes setting up cameras that may or may not have stayed upright during launch, and our photographers and trackers hard at work capturing every frame.
Our Starbase crew gives it their all to bring you the best possible view from the ground. Enjoy these first BTS images and keep an eye out for more updates (and maybe a few merch teases) from South Texas soon.
