Behind The Human Spaceflight Design
Sixty-four years ago, Yuri Gagarin made history as the first human in space. Today, we are in a new era of spaceflight, where vehicles like Dragon and others are pushing the boundaries even further. To celebrate the 64th anniversary of humans in space, we've created a special design to honor this remarkable milestone and look ahead to an even brighter future.
Within this design, you'll find hidden easter eggs that hint at major milestones in human spaceflight. One of the most significant is the International Space Station (ISS), which has maintained a continuous human presence for 25 years. The ISS regularly hosts crew handovers, enabling incredible scientific achievements and advancements in human spaceflight, making its inclusion in our design essential.
Next, on the left side of the design, you'll spot a Crew Dragon floating in space. Crew Dragon has played a pivotal role in helping the United States return to human spaceflight after the Space Shuttle's retirement in 2011. It has enabled both international and commercial crews to reach space, further expanding the commercial human spaceflight industry. In the center of the design, you'll find an easter egg depicting Jared Isaacman performing the first commercial spacewalk aboard a Crew Dragon during Polaris Dawn.
Finally, in the background, you can see Orion floating in space, representing the exciting future of humans returning to the Moon. This design is truly special, packed with easter eggs that celebrate both our history and our future in space.
