Before the four NASA Artemis II astronauts begin their journey to the Moon, they take one final path on Earth walking across the crew acess arm nto the Orion spacecraft at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. This iconic crew access arm, represents the last moment before launch. Once the crew is safely aboard, the access arm seen here will swing away, clearing Space Launch System (SLS) for liftoff. Moments later, NASA’s SLS rocket will thunder skyward from Launch Complex 39B, carrying Artemis II on its historic mission and advancing human spaceflight back to the Moon and beyond.
