Taken during NASA’s Artemis I campaign, the Space Launch System (SLS) with the Orion spacecraft can be seen here atop Mobile Launcher-1 (ML-1) in all of its glory at Kennedy Space Center, set against the Cape Canaveral, Florida sunshine. This rare, up-close vantage point highlights the immense scale of not only the vehicle itself, but also its supporting infrastructure, including the mobile launcher platform and launch support tower housing SLS’s primary umbilicals. This launch marked a major step forward in NASA’s mission to return America to the Moon.
