Life gets busy and it is easy to just throw your NSF t-shirt into the dryer on the standard heat setting with the rest of your clothes and tumble dry on hot heat to get dry as quickly as possible but, while this may be easy route this is not what will keep your NSF shirt fresh and vibrant for many launches to come.
Our NSF shirts come in many designs, such as our Flight 9 Patch Shirt, which often features bright and vibrant colors and a large image on the front. However, these shirts do have recommended wash and care instructions. As a reminder, we will explain these to you so you can wear your shirt to launches or Starship landings 15 years from now.
Our standard shirts are made from a 100% cotton or a cotton polyester blend, which has similar care instructions. The garment requires washing inside out using cold water. The washing cycle is followed by either tumble drying on low heat or leaving it to air dry. It is recommended to avoid ironing over the design on your NSF shirts, as well as to refrain from using bleach.
By following all of these recommended care instructions, your shirts should remain in good shape and be ready for wear for years to come. So, the next time you think to toss your NSF shirt in the dryer, just remember these instructions!
