International Shipping Increase Explanation

We have been unpleasantly surprised by the reports of international shipping rates you've been sending following our recent patch release. Please note, this generally affects only affects international patch and key flag orders, which ship from a single warehouse... and not shirts, mugs, or stickers.

 As background, our previous warehouse provider recently shut down, forcing us to switch to a new warehousing solution. Before switching to the new shipper, we ran a test of a similar product and expected a slight increase in some shipping, but nowhere near the increases some of your have reported on the patches. It is unacceptable, and we are actively working with the new warehouse to find a solution. We are just as shocked as you are by some of these shipping prices, especially after we ran the initial test and thought everything was ready for flight.

Our main priorities are making sure your patches arrive and can be tracked every step of the way. Tracking information for orders is a requirement to reduce lost/hung shipments and fraud, both of which have unfortunately been issues in the past. This tracking can cost more, especially when shipping to a wide range of international destinations.... but... good grief.

We compared the expected slight increase in shipping rates with the standard rates of other shops offering similar products, and found the prices we expected to be consistent. That being said, some of the rates have been nothing short of ridiculous, way above our expectations. We’re actively looking for better solutions that might help bring costs down for you all in the future.
