We’ve officially been in the new year for over a month now, and we’ve already rolled out several new product launches, especially those tied to the upcoming Artemis II mission. Artemis II will return humans to the vicinity of the Moon for the first time since 1972, and we wanted to take a closer look at some of the new merch inspired by that moment.
First up is the SLS Assembly design, which launched a few weeks back during the SLS rollout. This piece is a deliberate twist on our much-loved Starship Assembly design. A huge shout-out goes to Rafael, who brought this artwork to life and packed it with hidden details and Easter eggs throughout. Here’s one to start with: how many astronauts do you think it takes to launch? Take a closer look. We count four.
Next is our brand-new Artemis II Vintage design. From the start, the goal was to bridge the Apollo era and the Artemis era visually. That led us toward a vintage approach, inspired by classic rock band tees, but unmistakably Artemis. The design is full of small details you might miss at first glance. Look near the base of the rocket. Do you spot the crew? Now follow the path around the Moon. The loop represents the Artemis II trajectory, carrying four astronauts around the Moon. At the bottom, the vintage-style Artemis lettering ties the whole design together and reinforces that retro concert-tee feel.
And finally, an honorable mention. If you were watching with us last week, you probably caught our little surprise. All we’ll say is #blamehydrogen. If you missed it, be sure to tune in to upcoming streams. You might just see it again.
